According to "Deadline" Starz has finished gathering the writers for the "writers room" for their potentially new showINCURSION. Unlike other channels which order pilots, Starz has "writers rooms" with writers whose task is to pen enough episodes for a full season order. INCURSION comes from SPARTACUS creator Steven DeKnight and revolves around a group of soldiers caught in a war against a hostile alien race. Each season of the potential series will be fought on a new, exotic planet as humanity inches deeper into enemy territory. Starz is also preparing "writers room" for OUTLANDER. Based on Diana Gabaldon's book, It follows Claire, a married WWII combat nurse, who mistakenly steps back in time to year 1743 where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world of adventure that sends her on the run and threatens her life. When Claire is forced to marry Jamie, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, it ignites a passionate affair that tears Claire’s heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.

Your first trailer for today is for new BBC's television series THE FALL which should hit small screens May 13th in UK and later on at Netflix in USA. The trailer is rather intriguing and atmospheric presenting two lead stars - X FILES star Gillian Anderson and Irish superhunk Jamie Dornan whom you've watched as the sheriff in ONCE UPON A TIME. Trying to runaway from his image of a top model, Dornan here plays serial killer Paul Spector, who has a dark fascination with solicitor Sarah Kay (Laura Donnelly). Gillian Anderson plays a detective brought to Belfast to solve a mysterious murder and catch the killer. The psychological thriller will have five parts!

Your second trailer for today is for a film which will hit DVD and VOD this June: family adventure THE DRAGON PEARL starring Sam Neill, Louis Corbett,  Jordan Chan....  Josh (Louis Corbett) and Ling (Li Lin Jin) thought they were in for a boring vacation with each of their parents at an archaeological dig in China. It turns into an adventure of a lifetime when they discover a mournful dragon trapped deep inside a mystical temple. Your trusted HOLLYWOOD SPY has been mentioning Welsh star Luke Evans (big thanks for tweeting to us yesterday, Luke!) a lot recently and not just because he is our dear friend and fave star but also because he's been busy! Beside starring in FAST AND FURIOUS sequel and THE HOBBIT later this year, and taking on the lead role in DRACULA epic, he will now also spread his wings wider since he is the new THE CROW! Tom Hiddleston was mentioned for the role, but Luke took it over and will now play rock star Eric Draven, who comes back to life to seek vengeance against those who murdered him. As you remember Draven was played by Brandon Lee and Vincent Peres in previous versions of the film. Fingers crossed that Luke sings in the film too, since he starred previously in musicals and has the most amazing voice!

  'SURVIVOR' THRILLER

KATHERINE HEIGL & CLIVE OWEN 
Here's an unexpected duo: according to latest news Katherine Heigl and Clive Owen will team up for new conspiracy thriller SURVIVOR! James McTeigue (who directed the above mentioned Luke Evans in THE RAVEN last year) will direct the story revolving around an American woman working for the U.S. State Department in London. An office bombing leaves her the sole survivor, and she is soon caught up in a conspiracy plot that forces her to become a fugitive. She only has until New Year's Eve to clear her name and stop another attack from happening. Earlier this spring I've also reported that Katherine Heigl will join Patrick Wilson in NORTH OF HELL a film about a successful businessman whose domineering wife viciously controls every aspect of his life.

  THE WHITE QUEEN

 NEW EPIC TRAILER

Check out a brilliant and highly atmospheric new trailer for BBC and Starz new historical series THE WHITE QUEEN which should start airing its first season sometime this summer (probably right after DA VINCI'S DEMONS finish). Set against the backdrop of the Wars of the Roses it will be the story of the women caught up in the ongoing conflict for the throne of England. The series starts in 1464 — the nation has been at war for nine years fighting over who is the rightful King of England, as two sides of the same family, the House of York and the House of Lancaster, are in violent conflict over the throne. The story focuses on three women in their quest for power, as they manipulate behind the scenes of history — Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville! The cast includes David Oakes, Max Irons, Rebecca Ferguson, Eleanor Tomlinson, James Frain and Aneurin Barnard!

 A week or two ago HOLLYWOOD SPY mentioned that Keanu Reeves will star in new science fiction romance PASSANGERS as Jim Preston, a mechanic travelling on a 120-year journey to a planet in another galaxy, whose cryogenic pod fails. He wakes up more than a century before the other passengers, and decides to wake up another passenger, the female journalist Aurora. While the two begin to fall in love, they also discover a major malfunction on the ship that may threaten their lives. And the new info is that Aurora will be played by Reese Witherspoon! Interesting choice, I'm surprised the two of them haven't played together before!

 IN DRACULA EPIC

And another film we've mentioned recently - Universal's new take on DRACULA which will have brilliant Welsh star Luke Evans in the lead role - has new cast addition! According to "Variety" gorgeous Sarah Gadon (WORLD WITHOUT END, COSMOPOLIS, ANTIVIRAL) will take the lead female role! The story of the epic horror film will mix together the mythology surrounding the famous vampire with the elements of the true story of the historical Dracula - medieval prince Vlad the Impaler who fought the Turks who were invading Europe at that time and who served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker's famous character! The film is set for August next year!

ODD THOMAS TRAILER

Earlier last weekend the first trailer for movie adaptation of ODD THOMAS bestselling novel from Dean R.Koontz was released. Directed by deeply brilliant Stephen Sommers (MUMMY, MUMMY RETURNS, VAN HELSING) and hitting cinemas later this year the movie revolves around Thomas, an exuberant short-order cook who possesses the gift to communicate with the dead. He must use his talent to prevent an evil force from entering our world through a gateway from hell. HENRY CAVILL IS SUPERMAN

Magnetically dashing Henry Cavill from THE TUDORS and IMMORTALS stars as Clark Kent  and Superman, a Kryptonian sent to Earth by his parents as an infant to survive the destruction of his homeworld Krypton. He is raised by Smallville, Kansas farmers, Martha and Jonathan Kent and becomes Earth's greatest superhero, Superman. British star Cavill was cast as Superman, making him the first non-American actor to be cast in the role. Cavill was on the shortlist for the 2006 film "Superman Returns", but lost the part to Brandon Routh.  Dylan Sprayberry was cast as 13-year-old Clark Kent while 11-year-old Cooper Timberline was cast as the 9-year-old Clark Kent in June. Matthew Goode, Zac Efron, Armie Hammer and Matt Bomer were on the final shortlist for the role before Henry won it! Henry changed his body drastically for the job! His muscles are safe since the film won't feature any kryptonite!

AMY ADAMS IS LOIS LANE

Reporter for the Daily Planet newspaper and love interest of Clark Kent. Delightful Amy Adams was selected from a list of actresses that included Olivia Wilde and Mila Kunis, even though she is almost ten years older than Cavill.

SUPERMAN CAST

Michael Shannon is General Zod: A Kryptonian general and megalomaniac with the same superpowers as Superman. Viggo Mortensen was previously considered for the role. Diane Lane is Martha Kent and Kevin Costner is Jonathan Kent: The adoptive parents of Superman. Laurence Fishburne is Perry White: The Editor in Chief of the Daily Planet and the boss of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Fishburne is the first African American to play Perry White in a live-action film. Antje Traue is Faora: A Kryptonian female associate and follower of Zod. Ayelet Zurer is Lara Lor-Van: The biological mother of Superman and loyal wife to Jor-El. Julia Ormond had previously been announced as cast, but dropped out.  Connie Nielsen was in negotiations for the role before Ormond was cast. Russell Crowe is Jor-El: The biological father of Superman. Sean Penn and Clive Owen were also considered for the role. Christopher Meloni plays Colonel Hardy!

SUPERMAN TIDBITS

If the film proves successful it might lead to JUSTICE LEAGUE being turned into a live action film too bringing DC's most powerful superheroes together in one film! Zack Snyder has gathered quite a stunning group of helpers which includes director of photography Amir Mokri (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”), editor David Brenner (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”), and multiple Academy Award winning costume designer James Acheson (“Restoration,” the “Spider-Man” films) and costume designer Michael Wilkinson (“Watchmen,” “300”). The music is being composed by Academy Award winning composer Hans Zimmer (“The Lion King"). From Guillermo del Toro to Robert Zemeckis, Ben Affleck and Darren Aronofsky, the negotiations with possible directors lasted for years before Snyder took the job! The film will contain references to the existence of other superheros, alluding to the possibility of a further DC Universe!

LILY COLLINS IN "PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES"! MAGNIFICENT TRAILER FOR "WALKING WITH DINOSAURS 3D"! MICHAEL MANN TO DIRECT "AGINCOURT" EPIC

As you already know by now, one of HOLLYWOOD SPY's favourite young stars, deeply delightful and utterly sweet Lily Collins from MIRROR MIRROR and THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS, will headline yet another big adventure. The so far doomed project PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES which was cancelled and delayed tones of times so far, might have Lily in the lead role. The movie adaptation of a Seth Grahame Smith parody novel brings a new version of  Jane Austen's famous classic, pitting Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy against the living dead and even some evil ninjas in the mix of romance, horror and comedy.

AGINCOURT EPIC
Meanwhile, another epic project HOLLYWOOD SPY has been informing you for years now is gaining some momentum again. The Michael Mann (LAST OF THE MOHICANS) directed movie

 adaptation of Bernard Cornwell's bestselling historical novel AGINCOURT has hired Stuart Hazeldine (he just wrote GODS AND KINGS epic for Spielberg) to pen the script! "Deadline" reports that the story focuses on an archer who comes of age under Henry V as the king prepares to lead his outnumbered English troops against the French in the Battle Of Agincourt. The protagonist is a young man with a death sentence on his head who is saved when his skills with the bow catch the attention of the king. The archer develops into a warrior and falls in love with a young woman whose virtue he saved from a lecherous priest. He becomes the portal to the bloody battle.

Now, here's an excuse for today's post, people: since it's been a deeply boring day in movie news business today your trusted HOLLYWOOD SPY is bringing you a report from the glamorous coronation of Holland's new king Willem Alexander. These royal posts are always a huge hit here, as you've already seen with our exclusive reports from royal weddings in London, Monaco, Jordan and Luxembourg!

NEW GENERATION

Willem Alexander has taken over the throne in Netherlands earlier this week after his mother, now the ex Queen Beatrix, had decided to abdicate after her 33 year reign and leave the monarchy to a younger generation (which was her official explanation)! This also means that little princess Catharina Amalia, the first daughter of King Willem Alexander and his wife Queen Maxima, is now the first in line to succeed the throne after him.

ROYAL INAUGURATION

Unlike Britain and some other monarchies, the royal crown is never worn in Holland, so this was more of an inauguration than a coronation. After Willem Alexander swore that he will be faithful to the constitution, the members of the upper and lower houses of parliament individually swore their allegiance to the new monarch. The new king then appeared on the balcony of the royal palace on Amsterdam’s Dam Square to meet his people!

FIRST KING IN 123 YEARS! 
It is interesting that Willem Alexander celebrated his forty sixth birthday only two days before he became the new king. The day of his birthday will now be celebrated as the King's Day in Netherlands. It is also interesting that he is now the first Dutch king in a 123 years long period  in which the country was ruled by queens! He is also the youngest monarch in Europe! Recent changes in the Dutch constitution have made his royal role strictly ceremonial and he won't be able to choose the government.

QUEEN MAXIMA

The monarchy is very popular in Netherlands and up to 78% of people there support it. Willem's wife Queen Maxima has had a big role in this: she is beloved by the people not only for her humanitarian and charity work and her style, but also for having a positive influence on the new king who was known for his mischievous youth and his love for a good drink. He apparently changed his ways after marrying Maxima and getting three kids with her. Most people think the monarchy is beloved by the Dutch people only because of Queen Maxima.

As always at these royal events, the guests at the royal inauguration included members of almost all royal families from around the world from Spain's crown prince Felipe and his wife princess Letizia, British prince Charles and Camila Duchess of Cornwall, Japanese royal couple Naruhito and Masako, crown prince Haakon of Norway, crown prince Frederik of Denmark and his wife princess Marry, prince Albert of Monaco, her royal highness princess Lalla Salma of Morocco (Always the best dressed at these events), crown princess Victoria of Sweden, grand duke Guillaume of Luxembourg, crown prince of Thailand! According to protocol only the crowned heads were invited since the new king must meet the current and future monarchs first before meeting other members of royal families!

Now, ya all know we don't have a taste for vampire movies, but my boys have been complaining that there's been an entirely too many naked hunks here in the photos recently (what can I do, roles in Hollywood are 90% for men), so here's out dear Olga Kurylenko to feed my boys' appetites (click for extreme naughtiness :) Mind blowingly gorgeous Ukrainian beauty, whom you're currently watching next to Cruise in OBLIVION, will take the lead role in VAMPIRE ACADEMY: BLOOD SISTERS! "Deadline" reports that the film will be based on the Richelle Mead's young adult novel series, with the story revolving around Rose Hathaway, a teenage girl that has a deep connection with her vampire best friend Lissa. The pair attend a special school for vampires that helps to maintain their humanity. Olga will play head mistress Kirova (I bet you like the sound of that you naughty devils) while Russian hunkster Danila Kozlovskiy (naughty click) will play the lead male role of Dimitri!

NEW MINI SERIES 

And in epic news from the television front, Freemantle Media is preparing LAWRENCE OF ARABIA mini series in six parts!  The story of the Roland Emmerich produced series will chart the heroic journey of the British Army officer T E Lawrence, who became famous as 'Lawrence of Arabia' owing to his unique role with Arab leaders during World War The tale of emotional turmoil, identity crisis, conflicting loyalties and individual brilliance will portray Lawrence as one of the greatest military and political strategists of our time and a stunningly intrepid Englishman who tried to unite the Arab world.

JOINS OLIVIA WILDE IN 'THE KEEPING ROOM' 

Sometime ago your trusted HOLLYWOOD SPY mentioned that Daniel Barber is planning to direct THE KEEPING ROOM sweeping war epic and now "Deadline" writes that Australian star Sam Worthington has joined the cast which already includes Olivia Wilde, Hailee Steinfeld and Brit Marling! The war drama  tells the story of two sisters and one African American slave late in the Civil War. The three women are forced to defend their home after all the men have left for war. Sam Worthington is playing a soldier, who encounters the women after breaking off from the Union Army.

  I ORIGINS

 SCIENCE FICTION FILM

Speaking of Brit Marling, she will also join Michael Pitt in science fiction thriller I ORIGINS! To be directed by Mike Cahill, who helmed ANOTHER EARTH drama which brought Brit's name into certain fame, the story of the  movie will follow a molecular biologist (Michael Pitt) who finds evidence that may change our society as we know it. He stumbles across the information with his lab partner, which will be played by Brit Marling.The cast also includes everybody's favourite Steven Yeun who plays Glenn in THE WALKING DEAD and lovely Astrid Berges Frisbey who played a mermaid in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!
