Hey, kids, so many deeply inspirational and heartwarming songs have been released recently, that I felt the need to spotlight them since they truly shine in today's world of flimsy pop tarts who rule the stage with their backwardly superficial songs.

BEYONCE'S I WAS HERE

Probably one of the biggest music events this August was Beyonce performing her deeply touching song I WAS HERE in front of the live audience in the General Assembly Hall of United Nations in New York. Surrounded with stunning computer graphics with meaningful messages and clad in pure white dress, Beyonce celebrated the World Humanitarian Day with her powerful voice and her moving lyrics. Along with the United Nations and humanitarian aid organizations the aim was to launch a global

campaign today to shine a spotlight on humanitarian work and encourage people around the world to get involved by doing something good for others.

 I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time

Know there was something that meant something that I left behind

When I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets

Leave something to remember, so they won't forget!

I want to say I lived each day, until I died

SCRIPT'S HALL OF FAME

Another super inspirational song is the latest single from my favourite Irish band The Script. Popular trio, lead by ever so amazing Danny O'Donaghue, has deeply emotional songs as their trade mark with some of pop's best love classics such as BREAKEVEN, THE MAN WHO COULDN'T BE MOVED or FOR THE FIRST TIME. But their new song, isn't a love one, but a song about the inner strength that can help us reach all goals we want to, because, as the title of the song says, we can all reach HALL OF FAME. DEEPLY MOVING TRAILER FOR DAKOTA FANNING'S & JEREMY IRVINE'S "NOW IS GOOD"! BEN FOSTER & KIRSTEN DUNST IN "RED LIGHT WINTER"! MICHAEL KEATON REPLACES HUGH LAURIE IN "ROBOCOP" REMAKE

Now, here's a rather strange plot: "Variety" reports today that Ben Foster and Kirsten Dunst have joined the cast of RED LIGHT WINTER. The title might give you some sign on the plot, since the story revolves around two New York City friends vacationing in Amsterdam. Their friendship is tested when they both fall for the same prostitute played by Kirsten Dunst. Ben Foster will play one of the guys, a young writer. It is interesting that the roles were previously meant for Billy Crudup and Mark Ruffalo. At the same time, "Deadline" reports that Michael Keaton has replaced Hugh Laurie in the remake of 

ROBOCOP and will play the director of the corporation that creates Joel Kinnaman's cyborg cop. Gary Oldman, Abbie Cornish and Samuel L. Jackson are also in the cast.

TOUCHING "NOW IS GOOD"

To finish the working week with an inspiring clip, here's the trailer for a film I mentioned before but it is out in cinemas around the world this September and October. NOW IS GOOD is a deeply moving story

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS IN RYAN GOSLING'S "HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER"! "GAME OF THRONES" NEIL MARSHALL HELMING "BLACK SAILS" EPIC SHOW! FOX' NEW SHOWS "PARA TIME" & "ATHENA"! "ONCE UPON A TIME" SEASON 2 PICS!

Well, this is surely an unusual project: actor Ryan Gosling has decided to start directing films and his first project will be fantasy story HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER. He has already chosen MAD MEN's Christina Hendricks for the lead role in the movie which weaves elements of fantasy noir, and suspense into a modern day fairytale.

 Set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city, Billy, a single mother of two, is swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Both Billy and her son must dive deep into the mystery, if their family is to survive.

TELEVISION HEADLINES

Our favourite channel Starz has announced that they've got Neil Marshall to helm their new epic series BLACK SAILS which is to replace SPARTACUS WAR OF THE DAMNED in January 2014. Marshall, who directed one of the episodes in GAME OF THRONES ("Blackwater") and Michael Fassbender's CENTURION epic, will now helm the pirate show which is a prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson's novel "Treasure Island" and will focus on the pirate Captain Flint and his crew. The preproduction of the show is currently under way down in South Africa.

PARATIME & ATHENA

In other TV news - according to "Digital Spy" Fox has bought pilot for a new sf show. Titled PARA TIME it will follow a group that police a number of parallel worlds. It comes from a DR. WHO and LIFE ON MARS writer. Fox also bought TV rights for graphic novel HEADACHE from Lisa Joy, which will be turned into a TV show called ATHENA telling the story of a young woman who discovers that she is the Greek

goddess of wisdom. The comic's synopsis describes it as a gripping coming-of-age tale of an 18-year-old girl who happens to be Athena. Her evil stepmother? Hera, who's actually evil and out to kill her. The bad boy she falls in love with? Hades, king of the underworld. The philandering father whose approval she always seeks and fails to attain? Zeus, the ultimate deadbeat dad. And now she must take on all of the gods in order to stop them from destroying mankind. 

 ONCE UPON A TIME 2

princess Mulan, played by Jamie Chung. "TV Guide" has revealed that she'll be armoured up and battle-ready going on a journey with Prince Phillip (Julian Morris) to find his princess, Aurora (Sarah Bolger), joined along the way by Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue)!

Lots of beautiful stories today, my people, starting with STAR TREK producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci taking over the

movie adaptation of fantasy series DRAGONOLOGY. The faux non-fiction books by Dugald A. Steer are based on the notion that dragons actually exist, which was revealed by Victorian era dragonologist Ernest Drake. The story centres on a team of dragonologists who try to stop a nefarious plot where the remaining dragons will be used to kill every human on the planet. The saga has 12 books so far. According to "MovieWeb" Orci and Kurtzman are also overseeing the remakes of VAN HELSING and THE MUMMY over at Universal.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES

As "The Hollywood Reporter" writes today, Jon Turteltaub will direct BEACHED, a story about a four-year-old boy who falls overboard during a family trip. The overweight lad is then raised by whales before going on to become an Olympic swimmer. Meanwhile, already hot cast for Arnold Schwarzenegger's action film BREACHER has got even hotter: "Variety" reports that Josh Holloway has joined Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello and Malin Akerman in the story about a team of corrupt DEA agents who steal millions from a drug cartel, under the guise of a routine raid. While the team thinks they have gotten away with the perfect crime, they start getting knocked off, one by one. Josh Holloway will play Neck, the medic of this shady unit.

  LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL

I have something really really special for you today: a deeply touching and highly enchanting trailer for new drama UNCONDITIONAL which will open up in cinemas September 21st. From the amazing and

haunting music, touching story and utterly refined performance from one of the most talented and impressive actresses of the young generation Lynn Collins (JOHN CARTER, X-MEN WOLVERINE), the trailer promises a really special experience. Lynn Collins stars as Samantha Crawford who is living a storybook life: she's happily married, she lives on a ranch where she keeps her beloved horse, and the stories she's told and illustrated since childhood have become published books. SPOTLIGHT ON SEPTEMBER 2012 SF MOVIES: "JUDGE DREDD" WITH KARL URBAN & LENA HEADEY AND DYSTOPIAN SF "BRANDED"

Well, my people, we've recently established that this has been a rather sf year when it comes to films, and that trend will continue in September too. Here are some of the sf movies coming out next month.

JUDGE DREDD

Definitely the sf film of the month is the long awaited remake of science fiction classic JUDGE DREDD. The exciting action movie, coming to cinemas September 21st,  will take us to futuristic America which became irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One- a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called "Judges" who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge -- a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of

"Slo-Mo"  experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed. During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. A heinous crime calls them to a neighborhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story

vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her ruthless clan. BRANDED

Now, here is a rather strange but extremely interesting trailer: the clip for BRANDED, a sf flick which hits cinemas this September 7th starring Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor and Max 

von Sydow. After Misha skyrockets to the top of the advertising business, a tragic mishap on the set of one of his productions torpedoes his career and he retreats into self-imposed exile. Ten years later, Misha returns to a radically changed world and finds himself plagued by visions of bizarre and terrifying creatures with the ability to influence people’s thoughts, desires and actions. Creatures only he can see. He soon realizes the creatures are part of a clandestine campaign unleashed by a rival advertising agency to make “fat the new fabulous” and create a new era of uncontrolled consumer appetite. In order to save mankind, Misha uses his own considerable marketing skills to launch an ingenious plan to try to eradicate the plague. But the corporate legions will not go down without a fight.

GORGEOUS TRAILER FOR CHOW YUN FAT'S EPIC "THE ASSASSINS"! ADRIEN BRODY, GERARD BUTLER, MICKEY ROURKE IN "MOTOR CITY"! JASON MOMOA JOINS "WOLVES", JAIME PRESSLY & ROBIN THICKE IN "ABBY IN THE SUMMER"

According to "Variety" Oscar winning actor Adrien Brody is in negotiations to replace Gary Oldman in MOTOR CITY. Adrien will play a villain in the story in which Gerard Butler plays an ex-con who starts tracking down the men who framed him and sent him to prison, almost immediately after his release. The cast also includes Amber Heard (mostly famous for her love for her own sex and for her fling with Johnny Depp) and Mickey Rourke. Wonder if Adrien will stay in the project, since the producers already had Jake Gyllenhaal and Dominic Cooper leave the cast.

 In other casting news, "Movie Web" reports that our favourite Conan

and Khal Drogo from GAME OF THRONES, ex BAYWATCH star Jason Momoa has taken a role in WOLVES. I've written about this project before announcing Lucas Till in the lead role. Momoa will play a villain in this story which revolves around a young man who transforms into a werewolf after being falsely accused of committing his parents' murder. He comes across a small town called Lupine Ridge, which holds the secrets of his real identity. According to "Digital Spy" two stunning people Jaime Pressly and rnb star Robin Thicke will star in ABBY IN THE SUMMER, in which "My Name Is Earl" star plays an adrenaline junkie who is forced to leave her job as a chef when she accidentally cuts herself. She subsequently

has to deal with distracted husband (Tygh Runyan) and her old flame (Robin Thicke). They will also be joined by Frances Conroy as her mother, and Joey Lauren Adams as her best friend. 

THE ASSASSINS EPIC

 When it comes to video treats, today I have for you a trailer for Chinese period epic THE ASSASSINS. According to "Twitch" the film is directed by first-timer Zhao Linshan and produced by the same

 team behind Zhang Yimou's Oscar candidate THE FLOWERS OF WAR, and its story revolves around Han Dynasty Prime Minister Cao Cao (famous Chow Yun Fat), who in his twilight years only grew in power and threatened to take over the Han Empire. The story also deals with a pair of young lovers, played by Liu Yi Fei and Japanese actor Tamaki Hiroshi, who are snatched from a prison camp and trained to become deadly assassins. The films premiers this September in China and it has been sold for American distribution as well. Check out the gorgeous trailer:

HOLLYWOOD SPY SPOTLIGHT ON ANIMATED EPIC "JUSTIN AND THE KNIGHTS OF VALOUR" WITH ANTONIO BANDERAS, MARK STRONG, SAOIRSE RONAN, RUPERT EVERETT

One of the animated films we will be watching in 2013 is JUSTIN AND THE KNIGHTS OF VALOUR. Penned by the writer of THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE, this Spanish animated film to be shot in English language will be set in a magical world that children still dream of, bringing a story about the determination of a kid to reach his dream. It is a tale about friendship, honour and courage. A heart-warming story filled with adventure, action and fun. As you will notice  the voice cast is absolutely amazing!

KNIGHTLY STORY

Justin (Freddie Highmore) lives in a kingdom where bureaucrats rule and knights have been ousted. He wants to be a knight but his father, Reginald (Alfred Molina), the chief counsel to the Queen (Olivia Williams), wants his son to follow in his footsteps and become

a lawyer. In need of guidance, Justin visits his Grandmother (Julie Walters), who tells him the story of his Grandfather, Sir Roland. Sir Roland was the noblest knight in the kingdom and protector of the King until they were both betrayed and killed by the evil Sir Heraclio (Mark Strong). Against his father’s wishes, Justin runs away in search of his dream and begins his quest to become a Knight.

At The Broken Eagle Inn he meets Talia (Saoirse Ronan), a beautiful, feisty and independently-minded girl, who shares his aspirations and whom he eventually falls for. He also meets a quirky wizard called Melquiades (David Walliams) who tells him where he can find the magical Abbey where the Knights of Valour once trained.

At the Abbey, he is mentored by three ancient monks. Blucher (James Cosmo) instructs him in knightly ways; Legantir (Charles Dance) teaches him there is still magic in the world; and Braulio (Barry Humphries) who creates magical contraptions, and is responsible for Gustav, the gas-powered wannabe-dragon crocodile (LOL).

 Justin, though an unlikely candidate for knighthood, is determined to pursue his ideals. Called upon to prove himself when Heraclio and his minions, lead by Sota (Rupert Everett), return and threaten the kingdom, Justin saves the day.

NEW MOVIE ADAPTATIONS: SF "THE MAZE RUNNER", ADVENTUROUS "UNCHARTED DRAKE'S FORTUNE", EPIC "GOD OF WAR" & TOUCHING "HEAVEN IS FOR REAL"

Ok, people, we shall have a movie adaptations day today at HOLLYWOOD SPY, starting with a project I already announced two years ago, but now it

has the potential helmer. According to "Deadline" Fox has hired Wes Ball to direct the movie adaptation of dystopian bestseller THE MAZE RUNNER written by James Dashner. The book is set in a post-apocalyptic world and follows a boy named Thomas, whose memory has been wiped as part of a mysterious test. After his brain is wiped, he is thrown into a giant maze with a group of boys. Every day, some of the kids who are Runners venture into the labyrinth trying to map the ever-changing pattern of walls in an attempt to find an exit. He soon learns that he was destined to become a maze runner and embarks on a voyage to freedom.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES

Another project that I announced three years ago, but it has never seemed to get some momentum is finally moving on: according to "MovieWeb" Sony is trying to find a new director for the movie

  adaptation of video game UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE after the helm was left empty by Neil Burger. The studio has now hired NATIONAL TREASURE scribes Cormac Wibberley and Marianne Wibberley to write a new script for the story which follows the journey of Nathan Drake, supposed descendant of the explorer Sir Francis Drake, as he seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado, with the help of his friend Victor "Sully" Sullivan and journalist Elena Fisher. A number of popular names was mentioned before for the

lead role from Nathan Fillion and Karl Urban to Russel Crowe and Mark Wahlberg, and even Robert De Niro was supposed to take a role in it previously.

GOD OF WAR

The above mentioned Sony also has the movie adaptation of GOD OF WAR epic video game in plan. The SAW writers will adapt the story which follows the battles of the Spartan warrior Kratos, who squares off against mythological beasts including Medusa, Cyclops and the Hydra in his quest to find Pandora's Box and destroy Ares, the god of war. Sony will also adapt bestselling book HEAVEN IS FOR REAL by Todd Burpo. Randall Wallace 

(BRAVEHEART, THE MAN IN THE IRONMASK) is set to direct this story about the author's son Colton Burpo, who claims to have visited heaven after a near death experience during an appendectomy. No one believes the boy until he starts telling stories identifying people who have died.

SPECTACULAR TRAILER FOR CHINESE STEAM PUNK FANTASY EPIC "TAI CHI"! BBC2 ADAPTING HILARY MANTEL'S "WOLF HALL" INTO TV SERIES ON HENRY VIII ERA

We've just had the amazing epic series THE HOLLOW CROWN over at BBC with Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Irons, Ben Whishaw and Patrick Stewart, but British television is ready to bring us more medieval history already. According to "Digital Spy" BBC 2 is preparing a six-part television adaptation of best seller WOLF HALL. Written by Hilary Mantel, the book has been a huge hit and won the famous Man Booker Prize. Based in the 1520s, England is facing civil war if Henry VIII dies without a male heir. Thomas Cromwell (he was played by James Frain in THE TUDORS) is stepping into the gap left by the King and is prepared to break the rules, wanting to reshape England to his own and Henry VIII's desires. Mmmm, love it, hope they will cast some of the brilliant British actors for the series!

TAI CHI O TRAILER

Earlier this year, I've introduced you to amazing Chinese steam punk epic TAI CHI and now I have the English trailer for you, for the film which will hit cinemas this Fall and will also appear at Toronto Film Festival.  TAI CHI O  mixes fantasy,

adventure, and steam punk which looks rather interesting in an Asian movie. The film by Stephen Fung, which will be released in USA in early 2013, follows an uncommonly gifted Yang Luchan who has a fleshy abnormality that holds tremendous power growing on his forehead. However, being teased as the town fool, Yang travels to the distant Chen Village to learn TAI CHI. At this legendary village everyone practices TAI CHI and uses TAI CHI in every aspect of their lives. Nevertheless, it is forbidden for a villager to disclose TAI CHI to an outsider, which Yang learns the hard way. Upon arriving at  village,

 locals discourage Yang by challenging him with fights. From the strong men to old ladies to children, everyone defeats Yang with their TAI CHI moves. After facing the toughest battle and being defeated by Master Chen’s beautiful daughter Yuniang, Yang is determined to master the art of TAI CHI and goes in search of Master Chen. Little does Yang know,

the poor strange man who he befriended is in fact Master Chen who had saved him from the duel with Yuniang. Master Chen realizes Yang’s genius and disguises himself to secretly guide Yang to his self realization of TAI CHI. One day, a frightening steam-powered machine comes to

the village, lead by Fang Zijing, a childhood friend of Yuniang. He has bribed government officials to permit him to build a railway that will run straight through the village. Yang decides to join forces with Yuniang to defeat Fang Zijing and destroy the machine. EWAN MCGREGOR'S "THE IMPOSSIBLE" TRAILER! MILA KUNIS, JAMES FRANCO, LIAM NEESON IN "THIRD PERSON"! NEW FILM ON "PONTIUS PILATE"! KAT DENNINGS RETURNS TO "THOR:DARK WORLD"

Big casting update for the new romantic drama THIRD PERSON which will be directed by Oscar winner Paul Haggis (CRASH) who also wrote the story: as "Variety" reports Mila Kunis, James Franco and Casey Affleck have joined Liam Neeson and Olivia Wilde in the film which follows the inter-connected stories of three couples all living in different cities, Rome, Paris, and New York. Each couple and city represent different phases of a relationship, with Rome representing the beginning, Paris the middle, and New York the end. Liam Neeson and Olivia Wilde will portray the Paris couple, a pair of writers, while Mila Kunis and James Franco will play the troubled New York couple. Casey Affleck will play a part of the new couple who take a road trip through Italy.

HOLLY WOOD SPY HEAD LINES

 Beside the story on Noah in sf epic with Russell Crowe, it seems we shall get another Biblical story on the big screen: according to "Deadline", Warner Bros. will put a

new spin on PONTIUS PILATE. Produced by BREAKING BAD producer, the story of the film follows the entire life of Lucius Pontius Pilate, the son of a Roman knight and a cunning warrior in his own right. He is assigned to become the prefect of Judea, where his arrogance clouds his judgment and causes the public to despise him. This leads to his decision on the fate of Jesus Christ, a man claiming to be the King of the Jews. Good news for all of you who liked last year's hit on the Norse god is that sequel THOR: DARK WORLD will have gorgeous Kat Dennings again in the role of crazy Darcy Lewis. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are leading the cast again.

THE IMPOSSIBLE TRAILER

Last year, I showed you a Spanish trailer for deeply touching movie THE IMPOSSIBLE with Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts in the lead roles, but now you can check out the English one. They play a family caught in

 the tsunami that hit Thailand seven years ago: Maria, Henry and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities, a terrifying roar rises up from the centre of the earth. In the TV news from the epic genre two new actors have joined the third season of HBO's popular fantasy show GAME OF THRONES which

 is currently being shot in Ireland, Croatia and Iceland. Young actor Ed Skrein will play Daario Naharis, the captain of the mercenary group Stormcrows according to "Winter Is Coming", while Jacob Anderson, whom we've seen previously in Showtime's EPISODES will portray Grey Worm, who is the leader of slave soldiers the Unsullied. Meanwhile, ABC is planning FINN & SAWYER drama, which will see two literary characters Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn teaming up in their 20s to form an investigative firm in New Orleans, according to "The Hollywood Reporter".

Your main treat for today are freshly released pictures from THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY 2013 Wall Calendar. According to "MovieWeb" this calendar (click on the pics to see them

 bigger), which won't be in stores until October, features the map of Thror, all of the dwarves, Elrond, Galadriel, Legolas, Gandalf, Bilbo, and a first look at Radagast the Brown. There is also a special edition calender available that consists of four scrolls, each containing three months per scroll. As you know, the most anticipated epic film of the year should arrive to cinemas this December starring Martin Freeman, Ian McKellan, Richard Armitage, Cate Blanchett, Aiden Turner, Benedict Cumberbatch (he gives voice to fire dragon Smaug who will apparently appear in the end of the first part)... while Luke Evans, Lee

Pace and Evangeline Lilly will probably be seen in the second part scheduled for 2013. I've recently reported that Peter Jackson has decided to make the third part as well, which will probably hit cinemas in 2014.
